About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Underley Garden School, part of Options Autism. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and Non-Verbal and Pre-Verbal and Communicational difficulties.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our pupils and young people, helping them to achieve their full potential and develop essential life skills. You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to deliver high-quality education and care, ensuring that our pupils receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with complex needs in the classroom and during activities
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation
  • Providing individualized support to pupils with specific needs
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and other support workers

About Us

Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils and young people, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities. At Underley Garden, we aim to make a positive difference to the personal, social, and learning lives of the people entrusted to our care.
