National Nuclear Laboratory is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to fill the role of Maintenance Support. The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment where you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team.

You will be working closely with the team to deliver expertise in general plant, system, equipment reliability, configuration management or other specialized subject matter needed to satisfy the multi-faceted needs of the organization.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide engineering support to the Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team.
  • Develop pragmatic fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that meet the objectives of the organization in a cost-effective manner.
  • Support maintenance activities by implementing and maintaining the technical basis of maintenance (TBoM) process.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree Qualified (Mechanical) or HND in an equivalent discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of stated qualification.
  • Strong communications skills, ability to communicate key information with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate conservative decision making, even in pressure situations.
