Mechanical Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technical Support Specialist to join our team at the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering support services.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team to provide technical support and expertise in plant, system, equipment reliability, configuration management, and other specialized subject matters. They will also assist in planning and implementing maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and on schedule.
This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interface with design and capability teams. The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified or hold an equivalent qualification, and have relevant experience in a similar role.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to demonstrate conservative decision-making skills, even in pressure situations. You will also require the ability to obtain DV level security clearance.
We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including 25.5 days annual leave, enhanced sick pay, and access to a health savings plan.
