We are seeking a Planning and Development Specialist to join our team at the National Trust. This role will involve providing professional planning advice and support to colleagues and National Trust places throughout the region.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the legislative background to planning and local government, as well as experience in analysing, resolving and preparing positions and advice on planning issues. They will be a qualified planner with a Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)-accredited degree, or working towards chartered RTPI membership through another recognised route.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, able to build good working relationships and provide a high-quality service to colleagues. They will have an eye for detail, good organisational skills and the ability to work at pace and keep to time.

The National Trust has a hybrid working policy, which means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. You will be expected to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.
