About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructor of English and Health and Social Care to join our team at Cambian Home Tree School.

The successful candidate will have a flexible and creative approach to learning, with a focus on developing individualized programs for students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for students, with a focus on English and Health and Social Care.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students, with a focus on academic and personal growth.
  • Facilitate a learning experience that provides students with opportunities to achieve their individual potential.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and share the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
About the School

Cambian Home Tree School is an independent, co-educational day school that specializes in accommodating students with SEMH difficulties.

The school typically caters for up to 20 students aged between 12-18 years, with a focus on providing individually tailored educational pathways to meet each student's needs.

The teaching team is supported by a multi-disciplinary team, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and therapeutic practitioners.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care.

They will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks, and will be required to meet the person specification for the role.
