About the Role

The Contracts Manager is responsible for the delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and to high standards. They will work in close collaboration with the Managing Director, Estimator, QS, and Buyer to manage projects from award through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend Estimating Handovers
  • Pre-planning of projects to ensure adequate resourcing
  • Client liaison
  • Appoint designers, review and approve drawings
  • Produce RFI schedules
  • Agree prices with subcontract labor
  • Produce construction methodologies and tender programs
  • Profit plan review with the QS
  • Complete material and plant requisitions for purchasing
  • Ensure material orders are placed in a timely manner to allow construction program to be achieved
  • Complete RAMS and submit to the client
Construction
  • Coordinate and manage site labor
  • Quality control
  • Client liaison
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence
  • Produce and track construction programs
  • Produce and submit information required schedules
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors
  • Work closely with the HBMS QS to manage costs and change control
  • Review labor, plant, and material forecasts with the QS
  • Ensure snagging and defects are closed out in a timely manner
General
  • Ensure company policy and procedures are adhered to
  • Support the Directors in the implementation of the Company's SHEQ policies
  • Understand the provisions of all applicable legislation and other stakeholder requirements for SHEQ relevant to the Company's operations
  • Attend weekly team meeting

  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in roofing and cladding contracts/project management/site management. They will have knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations, experience in a customer-facing role, and the ability to build client relationships. They will also have knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental safety requirements, computer literacy, and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages.
