FM Conway is seeking an exceptional Senior Transport Manager to lead our dynamic and fast-paced transport operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a large, diverse fleet while driving innovation and excellence in compliance and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the safe and efficient running of the transport operation.
  • Manage a large team, including Compliance Managers, Transport Managers, and Planners.
  • Liaise with governing bodies (Logistics UK, CLOCS, LLCS) to represent FM Conway in governance proposals and industry developments.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's operator license in line with traffic commissioner requirements.
  • Oversee the specification and ordering of new Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), liaising with internal business divisions and vehicle manufacturers.
  • Monitor Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS).
  • Accountable for the division's financial performance, including setting strategic budgets and ensuring they are consistently met to drive profitability.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in managing a large transport fleet and team.
  • Strong background in the transport industry, with in-depth market knowledge.
  • Valid and up-to-date Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Managers.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to lead from the front, make strategic decisions, and work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
