About the Role
York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (LLP) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team in Scarborough. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with our maintenance team to identify and resolve electrical issues
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed
Requirements
- Completed accredited trade-specific engineering apprenticeship (3-4 years)
- Current driving license with no more than 12 points within any 3-year period
- Inspection & Test (2391), LOLER, Asbestos, Confined spaces, and First Aid Training
Desirable Qualifications
- Ventilation (CP) and Pressure Systems (SP) training
- Specialist expertise in Health service knowledge across a range of technical subjects
- Knowledge and experience of electrical infrastructure and emergency generator supply
