Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Evolvingcarenj. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people living in our Residential Children's Home.

Your primary responsibility will be to work proactively as part of a team, promoting the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of the young people in your care. This will involve developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with other members of the team, and building strong relationships with young people, families, and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Providing direct day-to-day care and support to children and young people, including promoting their physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
  2. Developing and implementing individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
  3. Collaborating with other members of the team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working with young people in EBD settings (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties), challenging behaviour, substance misuse, abuse, domestic violence, sex trafficking, gang trauma, and street violence.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or NVQ level 3 in children and young people, or working towards.
  • I.T proficiency and excellent communication skills.
