Assistant Site Manager Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Devon South West. As Assistant Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management, and delivery of project works and housing projects.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in site management and project delivery
  • Manage and deliver project works and housing projects
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of the general public, staff, and supply chain
  • Participate in safety initiatives and maintain site cleanliness and presentation
  • Manage sub-contractors and provide direct instruction and support as necessary
  • Follow Vistry site procedures and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork
  • Involved with the management of internal/external design team/consultants to meet project deadlines
  • Produces and regularly reviews short-term programmes in line with the overall project programme
  • Ensure that detailed plans are available commensurate with the overall project plan

Requirements:


  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Scaffold inspection qualification
  • Able to work on any project secured by the business within a reasonable locality
  • Self-sufficient, works independently, and can deliver projects with some support from visiting Contracts Manager
  • Hands-on, boots on site, and interacting with the trades and their supervision
