Job Summary
The Motor Fuel Group is seeking a skilled Fuel Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for reviewing, approving, and communicating daily retail fuel prices to our Retail Operations team and MFG sites.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan workload to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate completion of retail pricing functions.
- Communicate effectively with Retail Services and Operations teams.
- Ensure training documentation is up-to-date, particularly for new tasks.
- Review and approve daily fuel prices that meet or exceed budget cash margin and volume targets.
- Adhere to individual site pricing strategies and network pricing strategies.
- Distribute approved price changes to MFG Operations team or Site retailers/managers as appropriate.
- Maintain standard and special price day pricing strategies and constraints.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of management reports.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of physical properties of motor fuel types.
- Working knowledge of petrol station forecourt workings.
- Working knowledge of Fuels cost price methodologies.
- Understanding of MFG's Contract Manager based mode of operation.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Computer literate with advanced Excel skills.
- Effective organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
Working Context
The post is based at MFG's Head office in St. Albans, with some business travel required from time to time. Additional hours may be required to ensure business needs are met.
