About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a retirement village bistro, preparing delicious dishes using fresh ingredients. As a Senior Kitchen Specialist, you will take ownership of designated kitchen sections, ensuring minimal wastage, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food safety procedures.

You will work closely with our Sous Chef and Head Chef to create a high-quality dining experience for our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, following health and safety procedures, and ensuring all dishes are presented according to our restaurant's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with food preparation and ensuring all dishes are prepared to a high standard
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures and food hygiene regulations
  • Ensuring all dishes are presented according to the restaurant's standards
  • Assist in closing down the kitchen to company standards, including stock rotation and cleanliness.
  • Complete all necessary company documentation and tasks diligently.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced / busy restaurant environment
  • A passion for food and a desire to learn and develop new skills
