About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Traffic Engineer to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects from inception through to design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of engineers to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Lead the financial and contractual management of projects
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project managers and other stakeholders
  • Line manage and mentor a team of engineering staff
  • Ensure compliance with current design and contract legislation, standards and guidance
About You

You will have a strong understanding and appreciation of the importance of road safety and sustainable travel. As a seasoned professional with the ability to manage diverse highway engineering projects, you will have significant experience in producing design solutions through all stages of design, preparing contract documents, working with contractors and applying the CDM Regulations.
