Administrative Assistant

We are seeking an experienced payroll administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for performing daily payroll tasks, including backfilling roles during Testing and Parallel run phases.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily payroll tasks, including backfilling roles to support team members during Testing and Parallel run phases.
- Monitor and manage the shared mailbox for payroll enquiries.
- Conduct complex calculations for Maternity Leave, Long-Term Sickness (LTS), Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), and employee departures.
- Process new hires, terminations, and statutory absences.
- Oversee all ad hoc data, pension and benefit changes across a dozen payrolls.
- Raise ad hoc advances and process third-party payments.
- Ensure accuracy in team processing.
- Conduct system audits between HR and payroll systems.
- Complete month-end payroll controls before payroll release.
- Generate payroll reports at month-end.
- Proven experience within a payroll department.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ideally from a payroll Bureau background.
- A competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
