About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Warner Music Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and strategic support to all areas of WMG, including Recorded Music, Music Publishing, and Corporate. This will involve developing financial models and strategic assessments to address key business issues, evaluating new business models, and conducting pre- and post-transaction M&A deal analyses and valuations.

The Director will also support global M&A process through partnership with key stakeholders and support of team, from initial target assessment, in-depth financial modelling and market analysis, due diligence, regular executive committee updates to close and integration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing financial models and strategic assessments to address key business issues
  • Supporting global M&A process through partnership with key stakeholders and support of team
  • Conducting pre- and post-transaction M&A deal analyses and valuations
  • Supporting financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets
  • Managing approval process for executive approval-level deals
  • Providing support for ad-hoc tasks as requested by CEO/CFO, board presentations, valuations, etc.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of finance and DCF concepts/principles, excellent verbal, analytical, written and interpersonal skills, and the ability to create new models as well as 'refresh' existing financial models.

They will also have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A BA in Finance/Accounting/Economics is preferred, and 9-12 years of finance-related experience, preferably from M&A, management consultancy or FP&A background, is required.
