About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea, an award-winning engineering consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading electrical services design on large projects and overseeing the overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead electrical services design on large projects and oversee the overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects.
  2. Act as a technical electrical lead and represent Hoare Lea at project meetings.
  3. Manage and prioritize the workload of a project team, including specialist groups.
  4. Host and chair internal project team meetings.
  5. Contribute to the professional development of individual team members.
  6. Actively lead self and identify opportunities for career development.
  7. Monitor project expenditure and report to the team leader.
  8. Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy are delivered.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent technical knowledge in Electrical Design Engineering and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
  2. Previous consultancy experience, with a strong appreciation for complementary specialisms such as sustainability, intelligent buildings, fire engineering, and acoustics.
  3. Able to lead small to medium-sized projects and take a brief from the project lead on large projects, delivering and controlling tasks required.
