Area Shift Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Area Shift Manager to join our team at Amazon. As an Area Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team to ensure our area of the business meets demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team
- Analyse and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity levels
- Support and lead a team, handling administrative work and building a strong team culture
- Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimise work and improve customer service
- Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes
A Day in the Life
You will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your days will include prioritising routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
About the Team
The Customer Fulfilment (CF) team is responsible for managing dynamic inventory and facilitating speedy deliveries. The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team uses air, sea and road transport to get packages to their destination quickly and conveniently. Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or working towards a bachelor's degree)
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English
- Relevant experience in performing data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in a logistical working environment
- Experience working with the MS Office suite in a professional environment
