About the Role

We are looking for a skilled engineer with experience in maintaining and repairing marine electrical and electronic systems. As a Fleet Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet of vessels. This includes proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and planning and scheduling repairs.

You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve technical issues, maintain accurate records, and provide support to our operations team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair marine electrical and electronic systems, including power generation, switchboards, and fire detection systems.
  • Perform fault-finding, insulation surveys, and condition checks across the fleet.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of vessel-specific electrical information.
About You
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Marine Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • 3-4 years' experience as a ship electrician or in shore-based marine electrical engineering.
  • STCW qualifications and experience with OS-HSC CTV/craft vessels.
  • Flexibility to travel and provide on-call support as required.
