Fleet Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled marine electrical engineer to join our team as a Fleet Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems on our fleet of vessels are safe, reliable, and performing optimally.

  1. Maintain and repair marine electrical and electronic systems, including power distribution, switchboards, and fire detection systems.
  2. Carry out fault-finding, insulation surveys, and condition checks across the fleet.
  3. Develop and implement a proactive maintenance plan to minimize downtime and costs.
  4. Create and maintain a comprehensive database of vessel-specific electrical information.
  5. Provide on-call support and travel across the UK and Europe for inspections, dockings, and emergency support.

Your Background:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Marine Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience as a ship electrician or in shore-based marine electrical engineering.
  • STCW qualifications and experience with OS-HSC CTV/craft vessels.
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide on-call support when needed.
