Innovative SEND Coordinator Role for Islington Primary School

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to lead the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision in an OUTSTANDING primary school in Islington.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the SEN team, developing effective strategies and support plans, and monitoring the progress of students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with diverse needs and excellent leadership skills.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee the SEN team and develop effective strategies and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Lead the SEN team and provide guidance and professional development for staff
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEN students to ensure compliance with national and school standards
- Qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
- Experience working with children with a diverse range of special educational needs
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to inclusion
- A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK
