Job Summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a skilled professional to support the delivery of refugee resettlement programs in Wiltshire. As a Casework Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless transition of relocated families into their new communities.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include supporting the delivery of resettlement programs, working with the council and other public services to deliver outcomes for resettlement programs, and assessing individual and family requirements to ensure accurate and reliable information is provided.

Job Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of resettlement programs in Wiltshire
  • Working with the council and other public services to deliver outcomes for resettlement programs
  • Assessing individual and family requirements to ensure accurate and reliable information is provided
  • Providing advice and guidance to refugees and migrant populations
  • Supporting colleagues across wider services, including the development of volunteer networks

Person Specification

Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • Educated to HNC in English/Humanities or equivalent experience
  • A good understanding of public services and the experience of new arrivals in the UK
  • A good understanding of health and social care contexts and processes for making referrals
  • Experience in following policies and procedures
  • Experience in contributing to and maintaining records
