Tradewind Recruitment is working with a special school that provides specialist support for secondary-aged pupils with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join our team. You will:
- Deliver personalized and engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with MLD, ASC, SLD, and SEMH.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff to provide a consistent and supportive learning experience.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and communication methods, including visual aids, sensory tools, and assistive technology.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where pupils feel confident and encouraged to participate.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet individual learning goals.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with pupils with MLD, ASC, SLD, and/or SEMH is preferred.
- A strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and behavior management techniques.
