Pets Choice Ltd: Strategic Buyer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Buyer to support our growing business in the pet food manufacturing industry. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, commodities, and ingredients for our Blackburn-based manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative supplier partnerships to drive a lean and profitable supply chain
  • Manage supplier performance and implement scorecards to align business objectives on cost, quality, OTIF, lead-times, etc.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, prioritizing plans to ensure business continuity
  • Conduct contract negotiations and market analysis to optimize pricing and logistics
  • Support business projects, including new product development and innovation pipelines

Requirements:

  • Contract negotiation skills
  • Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in the food or pet food industry (desirable)

Working Arrangements:

Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days per week in our Blackburn Head Office and 2 days per week working from home.
