About the Role
As a key member of our Warehouse team at Smiths News, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse departments. Your expertise in planning and resourcing will be crucial in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and productivity across the department and warehouse.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervise Warehouse Operatives, providing training, coaching, and guidance to ensure they meet their roles and responsibilities.
- Work closely with Management teams to identify training needs and potential risks in the operation.
- Ensure a high level of health and safety, compliance with company policy, and adherence to transport legislation at all times.

About You
We are looking for an experienced individual with a track record in warehouse management or people management experience gained in other sectors. You will have:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably from a 24/7 logistics, warehouse, FMCG, or similar industry background.
- Experience managing a large operation and the ability to liaise at all levels.
- Outstanding communication skills and the credibility to effectively build relationships with all team members and management.
- Experience of planning and effectively executing a warehouse operation, dealing with all issues and challenges as they arise.
