About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Substantive Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent clinical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality care to older adults.

As a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for leading the inpatient multi-disciplinary team on Dunes ward, Hartley Hospital. You will work closely with a wide range of clinical and professional disciplines to deliver holistic care by completing assessments of new admissions and managing their treatment to ensure safe discharges back to the community.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist, particularly in Old Age Psychiatry. They will possess excellent clinical skills, including the ability to assess and manage complex cases, and provide high-quality care to service users. The successful candidate will also have strong leadership and communication skills, enabling them to effectively manage the multidisciplinary team and communicate with patients, families, and other stakeholders.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £130,000. The successful candidate will be required to hold a valid UK driving license and use their own car for work-related travel or provide evidence of proposed alternative arrangements.
