Tendering Engineer Job Description

Based in Aberdeen, KBM Resourcing Ltd is a rapidly growing business that supports various global energy sectors.

Job Summary

The Tendering Engineer is responsible for providing tendering and proposal activities, with a focus on New Builds & AME opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage proposals within the Company CRM (Sales Force)
  • Build Costing Models / CTRs
  • Creation of project execution schedules to support bids when required
  • Presentation of proposal and commercial detail to Engineering Solutions Tendering Manager and Senior Management prior to submission, when required
  • Identify risks and opportunities during the bid process
  • Perform / participate in BD project handover meetings as required
  • Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders (HSEQ, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proposal Writing: Strong writing skills and ability to create compelling proposals
  • Project Management: Background in managing projects, particularly in planning and execution phases preferably related to new-build equipment
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in building cost models and understanding pricing strategies
  • CRM Management: Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems for tracking proposals (Sales Force or similar)
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyse and interpret client requirements and market trends
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge in engineering and a desire to learn about the intricacies of equipment within the Offshore Oil & Gas and Renewables industries
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop strategic approaches in proposal writing
