Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents while developing their career in healthcare.

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants, working alongside the Deputy General Manager to deliver high-quality care and support to our residents. You will also provide support to the clinical team in specific areas such as medication, assessments, care plans, or care reviews. Your role will involve respecting the dignity and preferences of our residents while creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment in our care homes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. You should also have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly and be able to demonstrate your skills and experience in caring for vulnerable adults. We are looking for individuals who are warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to delivering individualised care and support to our residents. With ongoing training opportunities, there is no limit to how far you can progress with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants have progressed into Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing roles.
