Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Engineer to join our team at BWC Management Services Limited. As a Senior Medical Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of electro-medical equipment, including ventilators, anaesthetic machines, and ultrasound scanners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Servicing, repairing, and commissioning of electro-medical equipment, including ventilators, anaesthetic machines, and ultrasound scanners.
  • Methodically solving problems with complex patient-connected equipment, some of which may also be connected to medical information gathering networks.
  • Liaising with external contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to coordinate contracts, service visits, and the purchase of new equipment.
  • Developing test procedures, taking into account manufacturers' recommendations and safe working practices.
  • Providing advice and clinical support when required in the use of medical equipment throughout the Trust.
  • Attending internal and external meetings relating to professional and service issues.
  • Participating in the department stock control system and ordering of replacement parts.
  • Completing paper records and entering electronic data for equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and repair procedures.
