**Job Summary**

Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK is seeking a skilled Tool Maker Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of precision tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manufacture precision tools and equipment, including jigs, fixtures, and gauges, to support the production of complex aircraft components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement new tooling solutions, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of existing tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve tooling design, manufacturing, and maintenance, reducing costs and improving productivity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production staff on tooling-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in tooling technology, applying this knowledge to improve our manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or tooling environment.
  • Strong understanding of precision tooling, manufacturing processes, and quality control principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC machinery, lathes, grinding, milling, and tool room machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
