About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Technical Analyst to join our team at South Western Railway. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in the replacement of our existing WAN across the SWR network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with network engineers at various sites to provide access for the installation of new circuits and fault fixing
  • Work with our network provider to migrate sites from our existing WAN to the new network as smoothly as possible
  • Replace and configure network switches as required
  • Test the new network to ensure it is working as required
  • Manage contractors on site, ensuring they follow all appropriate guidelines and procedures
  • Work with Station Managers and ticket office staff to minimize disruption
  • Assist the wider IT team with service requests as required
Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated, IT professional with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a complex IT environment. Network experience is desirable. A passion for technology and networks is essential.
