Senior Mental Health Lead

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Mental Health Lead to join our Intensive Support Team (IST) in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced clinician to showcase their expertise in working with adults with learning disabilities who require psychological support during crisis situations.
Job OverviewThe Senior Mental Health Lead will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, including planning and implementing interventions based on referral evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of individuals' needs. This role requires strong clinical leadership and management skills, with experience of working within community multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- As an autonomous practitioner, manage a highly complex caseload, including planning and implementing appropriate interventions.
- SUPport the development of a high-quality, responsive service, leading on specific areas of service development in line with service plans.
- Provide professional leadership and management to psychology staff, including recruitment, reflective practice, supervision, appraisal, and professional development.
- Exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team(s).
- Utilize research skills for audit, policy, and service development, designing and conducting clinical audits and research.
- Undertake psychological assessments, formulation, therapeutic interventions, and consultation to support individuals with specific needs.
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Evidence of supervisory and risk management training.
- Demonstrable post-qualifying experience within a Community MDT.
- Experience of working with adults with Learning Disability.
