About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our Department of Law as a Lecturer in Law. The successful candidate will contribute to the intellectual life and research culture of the Department and the University in their field of global criminology, state crime, and state violence and/or corporate violence.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field and a track-record of high-quality research commensurate to their career stage, including publications in national and international journals, with clear and ambitious plans for future research. They will also have experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and an understanding of student support.

You will be an excellent communicator and team player with a passion for teaching and research. You will have a strong commitment to academic excellence and a desire to contribute to the Department's research culture.

About the School

The School of Law is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and has two organisational units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law runs thriving undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has a well-established international reputation for innovative research.
