**JOB DESCRIPTION**
If you have the analytic ability, resourcefulness and drive, critical thinking skills, and a keen interest in climate change and human security topics, you should consider this role. Being technically savvy and open to training in the use of new tools, being able to deal with and work through ambiguity would be a great asset as well.

As a Global Intelligence Climate Security Associate in the Global Intelligence team, you will conduct research and analysis by leveraging open source, third party, and vendor platforms to evaluate threats that may impact the Firm's people, assets, and reputation; their likelihood; and their potential tactical and operational impact, and strategic implications. Your primary responsibility will be reporting on natural hazards and global climate-related developments, and their broader socio-economic impacts. Secondary responsibilities may include reporting on other traditional and non-traditional security topics, including terrorism, security developments in the region, and others by request.

**Job responsibilities**
- Conduct open source research to gather information and report on ongoing and emerging threats, utilizing news media, public records, academic research, and third-party vendors to escalate emerging issues and provide situational awareness for stakeholders across multiple lines of business
- Support the identification and analysis of threats to the Firm’s assets and people, including those linked with climate change and extreme weather events
- Deliver written and verbal analytical assessments in clear, succinct, and appropriately caveated products that project credibility, convey recommendations, and reinforce key messages
- Collaborate with regional intelligence leads and key partners across the Firm to deliver ad hoc reports and advance strategic projects
- Use GIS and data visualization software to map, analyze, and convey complex threats against the Firm in an accessible format

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Experience in performing in-depth research on complex topics with limited supervision and in conveying information clearly, accurately, and succinctly
- Prior relevant working experience in performing open source research or intelligence analysis desirable but not required
- Ability to work in an international environment and collaborate remotely with other team members
- Must be able to handle high-level of pressure associated with complex projects and programs in a demanding customer environment
- Must be able to produce well-crafted reports, deliver high-impact presentations, and handle executive communication (written and verbal) with senior-level management
- Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Undergraduate degree in Earth, Environmental, and Climate Science, Political Science, International Affairs, Security
- Previous work in academia, think tanks, or NGOs as well as the ability to perform geospatial analysis using GIS software
