Groundwork East is seeking a skilled Fundraising Officer to join our team. As a Fundraising Officer, you will play a crucial role in generating income for our organization, primarily for Groundwork activities across the East of England.
About the RoleWorking closely with business development colleagues and delivery staff, you will identify income sources, approach funders and partners, develop and write bids, and contribute towards the annual income of the Trust. Your primary focus will be on monitoring the external funding environment to identify suitable sources of charitable trust and foundation funding and tender opportunities for projects and programmes of activity.

- Use your communication skills to write high-quality, persuasive copy that brings the charity's work to life for potential funders, such as charitable trusts, BIG lottery, local authorities, and central government.
- Develop and write bids, and contribute towards the annual income of the Trust.
- Work with business development colleagues and delivery staff to identify income sources and approach funders and partners.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and writing skills. Ideally, you will have experience of successful grant funding from Trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, or similar, together with demonstrable experience of undertaking high-quality research. The ability to quickly develop a detailed understanding of wide-ranging and complex topics is essential, as is a genuine interest and enthusiasm towards fundraising work.
