Location: East Clandon, Guildford (open to homeworking 2 days per week)

Job Summary:

Cherry Trees, a charity providing home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities, seeks an experienced Community and Events Fundraising Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering successful community and events fundraising programs, with a strong understanding of fundraising regulations and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a community and events fundraising strategy to engage with existing and potential supporters.
  • Plan and deliver a range of events, including golf days, live music events, and Christmas markets, to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, community groups, and individuals to secure funding and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities, making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of planning and delivering successful community and events fundraising programs.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising regulations, health and safety requirements, and general laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories.
  • Event marketing experience, including understanding of tools, systems, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience of using a CRM and the importance of using data to provide insights and guidance.
