Job Title: Content Editor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Content Editor to join our dynamic digital newsroom at Reach PLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of reporters, overseeing content production for our web, app, and social media audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and brief reporters to deliver high-quality content, including words, pictures, video, data, and interactives.
  • Organize and manage the publishing of fresh, engaging, accurate, and legally sound news content.
  • Use your excellent news sense to launch live blogs for big stories and maintain momentum as readers flock to our sites.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s to ensure team members are developing as journalists.
  • Oversee our websites and social media channels, helping to develop our social strategy.
  • Play a crucial role in developing our Customer Value Strategy, focusing on newsletter and maximizing audience loyalty.

Requirements:

  • Senior NCTJ/NQJ Level 6 journalism qualification and extensive media law knowledge.
  • Proven track record of writing and editing digital news content in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
  • First-class writing and storytelling skills with a thorough understanding of our news brands and audience engagement strategies.
  • Good understanding of SEO, search, social, and digital audience behavior.
  • Social media savvy with experience utilizing various social platforms.
  • Prior people management experience or keen to step up into a management role.
