About GLG Vets:

We are delighted to support an established veterinary practice in Liverpool, Merseyside, in their search for a dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon.

This role is critical in delivering exceptional veterinary care to patients while also mentoring and leading the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead high-quality veterinary care to pets and animals in various cases.
  • Support and manage a team of veterinary professionals, ensuring excellent standards are upheld.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, offering compassionate and professional service.
  • Perform surgery, diagnostics, and treatments for a range of conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior colleagues.

Requirements
  • RCVS registered and ideally with previous leadership or senior veterinary experience.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional care to animals and working as part of a dynamic team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
  • A commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).

Salary: £62,500 per year. Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 to £65,000 per year. This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with 1 in 3 or 1 in 6 weekends.
