Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Complex Medical Care Assistant to join our team in Dewsbury. As a Care Assistant Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to a lady with complex medical conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, with experience in administering injections, managing IV lines, and assisting with JEJ tubes. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, including washing and dressing, meal preparation, and more.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in activities such as baking, knitting, and fused glass making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility
  • Administer medications, manage IV lines, and assist with JEJ tubes
  • Prepare meals and assist with household duties
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 6 months of care experience (minimum)
  • Experience in administering injections and managing IV lines
  • A strong understanding of complex medical conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary for this role is £13.00 per hour, increasing to £13.50 after 12 weeks. Shifts are done via rota, with all breaks paid. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and respectful, with the ability to work day and night shifts.
