Job Summary

As a seasoned Cloud Software Developer at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a key role in designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. This team operates with two feature teams based in Bournemouth and London, driving critical technology solutions across diverse technical domains and business functions to propel the firm's strategic objectives. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams across the organization to accelerate the development of our cloud platform. You are responsible for solving complex business challenges and ensuring the delivery of secure, high-quality software that meets the highest standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions that meet the needs of our cloud platform, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our cloud platform
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Proficient in coding and testing in one or more languages
  • Adaptable to different cloud technologies
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior technologists
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
