At Equals One Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team as a Workshop Engineer.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting repairs, servicing, and maintaining wheelchairs in Surrey. The role involves working closely with the Service Centre Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and Line Manager to ensure timely completion of tasks.

We are looking for an individual who can work independently and as part of a team to achieve business results. Key skills include good communication, organisational skills, and the ability to fault find. Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential, with qualifications such as GCSE level or NVQ level 1 desirable.

A full driving licence and satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure are also required. Training will be provided on wheelchair engineering, and the successful candidate must be trustworthy and possess a clean or appropriate DBS record.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct repairs, servicing, and maintenance of wheelchairs
  • Process associated paperwork accurately
  • Ensure warranty and scrap returns are labelled correctly
  • Follow infection control policy at all times
  • Undertake engineering work, including service, repairs, and refurbishment
Requirements:
  • GCSE level or NVQ level 1 qualification
  • Full driving licence
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Ability to fault find and troubleshoot equipment
Salary:

£25,017.20 per annum.
