Job Title: Mobile Service Engineer

Location: UK wide

Salary: £22/£24 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join our team in the heavy plant and machinery industry.

Role Overview:

As a Mobile Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing repair, service, maintenance, and commissioning of heavy machinery, primarily paving machines, on customer sites. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on-site, develop hands-on mechanical expertise, and manage a varied and dynamic workload.

  1. Carry out field service jobs including the repair, service, and commissioning of machines and associated heavy equipment.
  2. Overhaul used machines and prepare them for sale according to approved specifications.
  3. Ensure all job-related paperwork is completed and returned to the service office promptly.
  4. Maintain the cleanliness, security, and safety of your van and tools.
  5. Adhere to company quality procedures and health and safety policies.
  6. Order parts for service jobs within agreed budgets and ensure jobs are completed within allocated hours and to budget.

  1. Experience in commissioning heavy machinery.
Experience:
  1. Previous experience in a similar role working with heavy plant machinery is essential.
  2. Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems.
Salary & Benefits:
  1. £22/£24 per hour.
Shift Pattern:
  1. Monday to Friday with flexibility required for extensive travel and overnight stays.
Working Location:
  1. Extensive travel within the UK; field-based role.
