Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team at KNAPP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our warehouse equipment, ensuring seamless operations and high productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including mechanical strip-down and re-assembly, basic field wiring, and system testing.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of site MHE to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Manage time effectively using our CMMS system to achieve over 90% utilization.
- Continuously improve equipment performance and efficiency, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with on-site management to address repair and maintenance needs, providing timely updates and solutions.
- Service and repair installed products, demonstrating hands-on ownership and problem-solving skills.
- Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and work with 415V motor controls.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Operate hand tools and assemble parts onto equipment.
- Follow setup instructions, assembly drawings, and checklists to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of control systems and their applications.
- Be adaptable and willing to learn new skills and technologies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Present KPI-based monthly reviews to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Understanding of Non-Destructive Technologies and Testing.
- Understanding of PLCs and their function.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge beneficial.
- Computer literacy with basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with CMMS systems and engineering stores.
- HNC/HND equivalent desirable.
