Project Controls Professional - Hinkley Point C

Vulcain Engineering Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Professional to join our team based in the South West of England.

In this role, you will work as part of our Technical Communities under the direction of the IPC Planning Manager to deliver project controls expertise on major projects such as Hinkley Point C.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce and maintain schedule baseline IWS in Primavera 6 (P6), with fully logic-linked work plans aligned to the WBS and utilising approved construction techniques;
  2. Ensure the Level 2 IWS is updated to an agreed timeframe for monthly reporting;
  3. Ensure the HPC Level 3 schedules are updated when required to reflect work progress and performance, to an agreed timeframe defined by the Central Controls Team;
  4. Maintain daily and weekly work planning in 4D model;
  5. Provide quality checks on scheduling data;
  6. Identify, analyse, and provide solutions to time-related issues;
  7. Co-ordinate and produce schedule reports to a defined reporting cycle;
  8. Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis of schedule impact, generating performance indicators, and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities;

Requirements:

  • Detailed understanding of scheduling methodologies and techniques;
  • Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction methods and techniques in a UK context;
  • Ability to produce accurate, complete, and fully logic-linked construction plans;
  • Good working knowledge of P6;
  • High level of analytical and numerical skills;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
