About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, supporting the planning and implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring activities are developmentally appropriate and inclusive.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, sharing information about children's development and well-being.
  • Observe and assess children's development, documenting observations and contributing to individual learning plans.
  • Support children's personal care needs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming nursery environment.
  • Collaborate with the nursery team to plan and deliver engaging learning activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain a clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent qualifications such as functional skills.

Working Hours:

  • The Nest Day Nursery operates between 8:00-18:30, Monday to Friday.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 38 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
