Vehicle Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Mr Clutch, a national Autocentre network and leading provider of clutch, brake, service, cambelt and MOT services.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing motor vehicles of all types in accordance with Company standards. You will carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standard and appropriate specification, test and diagnose faults, and provide written reports on component defects and/or systems with impending failure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification;
  • Test and diagnose faults as requested;
  • Examine vehicles, recognise and provide a written report on vehicle (or component) defects or systems of impending failure;
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others;
  • Promote and maintain the Company image, acting as a brand ambassador.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified (or time served) vehicle technician;
  • Current driving licence (for vehicle road testing);
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Appropriate hands-on experience and qualifications in the motor industry.
