About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Imprint Director to lead our Commercial Fiction team at Penguin Random House.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Commercial Fiction imprint, including long-term planning and trend analysis.
  2. Author Relationships: Foster strong relationships with authors, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of our publishing program.
  3. Publishing Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the imprint, including cost management and editorial milestones.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of publishing professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: A proven track record of success in publishing, with a strong understanding of the Commercial Fiction market.
  2. Leadership: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  3. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with authors, agents, and other stakeholders.
  4. Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the imprint.
