At First Bus, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and servicing of our fleet. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles comply with all statutory regulations.

Estimated Salary: £47,708.00

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a skilled engineer to take on a supervisory role within our depot. As an Engineering Supervisor, you will play a vital part in managing the engineering team, allocating work, and ensuring the availability of vehicles meets operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the maintenance and servicing of our fleet to maintain high standards of vehicle condition and regulatory compliance.
  • Inducting and developing a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Allocating planned and unplanned work effectively, covering absences as needed, and maintaining accurate records of engineering standards and performance.
  • Collaborating with the Stores Manager to optimize stock management and process warranty claims efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate records of fleet and environmental management, including disciplinary and absence management reviews.
  • Working closely with depot operational and engineering teams to manage service performance, including vehicle allocation, breakdowns, changeovers, and punctuality and reliability of services.
