Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support children in our school. The successful candidate will work closely with our teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children's development in physical, emotional, social, communication, and intellectual areas
  • Help maintain a safe environment and deal with accidents
  • Encourage positive behavior and contribute to positive relationships with children and adults
  • Provide effective support for colleagues and contribute to monitoring and maintaining curriculum resources
  • Invigilate tests and examinations
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the Graduated Response
  • Experience working with children with communication and interaction difficulties
  • Knowledge of ASD and ADHD and how to support children with these conditions
  • Familiarity with the TEACCH approach to learning for children with ASD
  • Understanding of behavior and strategies to prevent and manage episodes of negative behavior
