About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our Catering Team at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and service duties related to the provision of a high-quality catering service to patients, staff, visitors, and for functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Catering Team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in weekend working on a rolling rota, with earliest start at 6:30am and latest finish at 7:30pm.
  • Work predominately at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, with occasional requirements to work at other Dumfries Hospitals.

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
