We are PropSource Consulting, a leading consulting firm that provides expert advice on infrastructure projects. As a Principal Planner, you will play a vital role in our team, leading on various infrastructure projects and being responsible for the entire consenting process.

About the Role

You will work closely with other professionals to deliver high-profile projects across the UK. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the UK planning system and experience in delivering planning consents for infrastructure projects.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, motivated, and has a passion for town planning. If you are a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) or actively working towards it, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of consent applications under various planning regimes.
  • Manage projects professionally, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring effective financial control.
  • Build strong internal relationships through responsiveness and a commercial approach.
  • Guide and support junior consultants, reviewing and overseeing their work.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in delivering planning consents for infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, gained from local authority or private sector roles.
  • Experience in engaging with stakeholders, planning authorities, and statutory consultees.
  • Chartered status (MRTPI) or actively working towards it.
  • A degree in town planning.

Salary: £50-60k per annum in Manchester City Centre
